Let's crack the produce code! Some may have this tid-bit of knowledge stored, but it's worth repeating.

You know those bar codes stuck on each individual piece of produce at the grocery store? Well, the strain of numbers actually means something.

* 4-digit number is conventionally-grown
* 5-digit number starting with 8 is genetically modified (GM)
* 5-digit number starting with 9 is organic
